A BIT ABOUT US

We’ve been a practicing Yoga Studio since 2000. The foundation of our studio combines the physical with the inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, we promote awareness of the interdependency of all these aspects in personal health and wellbeing. At Heat Fitness and Yoga, we use our extensive training and in-depth understanding of the human body and psyche to teach and cultivate awareness of one’s own practice and life process.

Here are a few words from the Doctor:

“I believe the body is a dynamic structure and neuromuscular injuries are dynamic in nature. I believe soft tissue rehab is just as important as aligning and adjusting the spine. Every patient is unique and therefore their treatment plans are unique to them. At my office, you can expect a Doctor who listens and focuses on improving you. I utilize many different adjusting techniques and the office is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. I use flexion/distraction and spinal decompression, cold laser therapy, massage therapy, the Kinesio Taping Method, and Foot Levelers Spinal Pelvic Stabilizer inserts to name a few. Please browse through our website to learn about Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, and Acupuncture, and how some of these treatments may benefit you.”

Dr. Joseph Glick, III, DC

Dr. Glick was born and raised in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. While in college he suffered a lowback injury, where he then sought chiropractic care for the first time. Dr. Glick graduated from Parker University's College of Chiropractic, in Dallas, Texas, in August of 2021. In September of 2021 he married his wife, Christine, and together they moved to the Charlotte area in October of that year. Dr. Glick loves going to the gym, watching and playing ice hockey, fishing, and walking his Greyhound, Molly.

Here are a few words from the Doctor:

I first came to realize the power of chiropractic care from being a patient first. After hurting my lowback in college and seeing amazing results with my own treatment, I quickly changed my career path and my college major -- I realized I didn't want to help people cover up their aches and pains through prescribing pills, but rather, I wanted to help them by actually treating their aches and pains. I wanted to give back in the way my chiropractor helped me. It then became my mission to help anyone and everyone live healthier, pain-free lives.

Early in my schooling at Parker University I also realized I did not want to only specialize in people; I also wanted to give back to animals, because they too can suffer from many of the same aches and pains as people do. Before graduating I was accepted into Parker's Animal Chiropractic Program, where I refined my skills to evaluate and treat animals.

No one should have to live with pain, especially when it can be relieved through something as safe and holistic as chiropractic care.
